OK, what kind of fashion statement do you think Janet is trying to make????????????? I really think she should take Lisa's boot class so that she can make boots that match her cheddar cheese outerwear. Maybe she can even make some boots for the little mouse she has brought along with her cheese.

Quilt Bee Challenge

Orange Quilt Bee has just completed our first quilt challenge and we have some very creative quilter's! I have to say that I am very glad that I am not voting because I could not pick just one. Really! I hope everyone has a chance to drop by the shop and take a look and of course, be sure to vote for your favorite.

Look who came in on Halloween and received 25% off for dressing up....................

Look what we did on 2 Friday nights. This was sew much fun. I changed the pattern only by not using the iron on grid method. We cut a lot of squares and strips and WOW!! Our witches and Santa's went together just beautifully. I was afraid of the pattern at first and was not sure I wanted to teach it but before you knew it I was having a ball. Come and join me on my next adventure. Remember you never know quite what I will be up to next!!!

Labor Day Weekend

So if you haven't heard Pebble is hosting a SEWCATION over Labor Day Weekend. I hope you all can attend (but you will have to sign up - give the shop a call) I on the other hand will be up in Arrowhead at Janet's retreat. Yes, Lisa and I will be enjoying ourselves, no phones to answer, husbands to cook for and no dirty dishes or laundry. Just fun people (I hope), sewing machines, food, wine, spa and who knows what else (yes if you are asking me I will be sleeping with my boss this weekend - you didn't think I got this great job on my looks alone did you?) Anyways for all of you who will be missing the retreat in Arrowhead I hope that you can maybe have a little SEWCATION of your own.

Juanita just came in and signed up to teach hand quilting and needleturn applique. If you ever want to learn how to do it here is your chance. She is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also Ariana if you are out there what happened to the pictures you took when you were here? Please send them. The world should see the first person to fill up her stinger card. And I heard you won for your tie bag you worked on, how about a picture of that too? And did I hear you had made up a pattern for it? Doesn't your husband have to come back here for another meeting? Miss you.

Janet's Flower Pin Cushion Class

OK, I took this class last Friday night, and not only finished the bag in class (with nothing cut out beforehand) but went home and started 4 more on Saturday. We had way too much fun, with any luck Janet can teach the class again. Everyone on my Christmas list is getting one of these pincushions whether they sew or not! ~ Candy

Finally Open

New Pictures from Janet

Candy and I went by the shop and here are some new pictures. They are of the new tile bath room. The office and the beautiful new carpet. We are almost ready to start moving in. What do you think of those great new Signs. WOW!!!! Now everyone can see where we are.

We're almost there...

Even though the shop isn't fully complete inside, we're going to open soon. We're exhausted, we're overwhelmed, and well... So EXCITED!!!

We had our last "vacation" this past weekend at Janet's retreat in Lake Arrowhead. It was a fantastic time for all and our fellow quilters couldn't stop asking "When? When are you going to open? When can we sign up for classes?"

Well here's the "Orange Quilt Buzz".....

We will open our doors on May 2nd at 10am.
You can sign up for classes on opening day and the first class is scheduled for Tuesday May 5th.
We have lots of new fabrics, notions, books, patterns and quilt & handbag models.
